Mission statement is a statement that shows the purpose of the company or organization. Mission statement should guide the action of the organization. So it helps to achieve their goals.

Values

Organizational values define the acceptable standards which govern the behaviour of individuals within the organization. Without such values, individuals will pursue behaviours that are in line with their own individual value systems, which may lead to behaviours that the organization doesn't wish to encourage.

The Vision and Values of an organisation underpin not only what an organisation focuses on but also how it operates. Frequently, our work involves establishing the overarching internal shared values which will enable an organisation to deliver its promises to its customers.

Tesco values

Our core purpose isto create value for customers to earn their lifetime loyalty.

Our success depends on people: the people who shop with us and the people who work with us. If our customers like what we offer, they are more likely to come back and shop with us again. If the Tesco team find what we do rewarding, they are more likely to go that extra mile to help our customers.

This is expressed as our values:

No-one tries harder for customers:

  • Understand customers.
  • Be first to meet their needs.
  • Act responsibly for our communities.

Treat people as we like to be treated:

  • Work as a team.
  • Trust and respect each other.
  • Listen, support and say thank you.
  • Share knowledge and experience.
  • So we can enjoy our work.

Objectives

Objectives are made for long time. These objectives are goals of their next three or five years. They must be measurable and they must contribute to the business achieving its aims. Objectives are blend with each other

There are some key stakeholders in business organization, creditors, customers, directors, employees, suppliers, unions, community. Although stake holding is self legitimizing, all stakeholders are not equal and different stakeholders are entitled to different considerations. Responsibilities of the organization are very high, because they are dealing with lot of people and environment. So companies try to do lot of thing to meet there responsibilities and to solve those problems.

Environment Climate change:

  • Help customers to understand their own carbon footprint and what they can do to reduce it
  • Bring down the cost of going green, including through offering more energy-efficient products throughout our Value range
  • Work with the Energy Saving Trust to develop stronger energy-efficiency labelling for our electrical products - from light bulbs to TVs

Recycling

In 2008 they able to reduced the amount of waste going into landfill. To do this they ask management team to give a report every day about waste. Achieving a balance between product availability and waste is a key part of a store management team's daily report.

Delivering products in reusable plastic trays has saved 4,000 tonnes of cardboard in China and 20,000 tonnes in the UK.

Tesco is the largest recycler of cardboard in the UK and our ‘closed-loop' system means that it is recycled and turned into new boxes within 14 days. The bulk of our recycling is achieved by our ten recycling service centres in our distribution network. These contributed 316, 000 tonnes of cardboard and plastic to the total of over 400,000 tonnes of material recycled in the UK, equivalent to 85% of the total packaging that we produced in 2008. This exceeded our target of 80% and helped us towards our target to divert 95% of store waste from landfill.

Cutting carrier bag use

They offer customers one point for every bag saved; over 9.5 million Club card customers have benefited. Their customers are now using 50% fewer carrier bags than they did before we introduced the reward. This is in line with our commitment along with six other retailers to reduce the number of single use carrier bags by 50% between.

International trade is an exchange of goods, capital, and services across international borders. International trade mean exports of goods and services by firm to a foreign buyer. International trade is useful for buyer and for the seller as well. Because of international trade people can meet their desire level without expending more money. International trade is mostly helpful for developing counties. As an example some Asian countries have not that technology to manufacture cars. But those people are able to use it because of international trade.

Most of the countries create business opportunities for their countries by economic integration. They are using these methods to avoid competition from other countries. There are some forms of economic mix. Economics integration was able to arrange some links between or among two or more countries economic. Sometimes it's able to link economies closer either part or total. They maintain the cohesiveness among or between the countries through tariffs. They discriminate against other countries, which are not parties to the agreement, through tariffs. They also discriminate against the goods produced by other countries. There are several ways of economic integration, Free trade area, customs union, common market, economic union

Global market is very important part of economy. Because of this globalization all the people are living in this world are getting same good and services'. As an example we can say Unilivers this company based on England. But their benchers are everywhere.

The European Union is (EU) combination of 27 democratic countries. These countries are working together for each other. All the citizens are getting these benefits of EU. Aim of this EU is social and economic progress.

People who live in EU countries they can travel any part of the EU country without visa and pass port. They are getting these benefits because of the EU. Most of the time big organizations are getting the benefit of this. Since last few year lot of people are arriving to England, the reason is for looking for the jobs. Big companies like Tesco are always looking for these people. Reason is they would like to work for the minimum wages.

Because of the EU, the companies like Tesco expand their business around the EU countries. So this was a good chance expend their business. Otherwise there are lot of barrios to establish a business in another country. Normally companies like Tesco they are buying vegetables and other consumer goods from the local people. So local people are get opportunities to sell their products for the good price.
